Manufactured by Remington for Underwood Elliott Fisher Co.
Wellington Parker Kidder, modified by George Gould Going
Original Price: $54.50-67.50
According to the Typewriter Database (typewriterdatabase.com), the Underwood Noisless Portable was actually manufactured by Remington on behalf of Underwood. If you compare to the Remington Noiselss, model 7, the two machines look very much the same. You will note from the clipping from a page of the 1936 Sears Spring Catalog, page 586, that both the Underwood and Remington were even sold together, at least by Sears. Someone must have thought it best to separate them at least in the advertisement since they were posted on separate pages in the next 1936 winter issue.
