The Chicago Typewriter comes in a close-frame model and a model without a frame. This is the closed-frame model. Note that the Q is moved to the bottom left of the keyboard, providing a unique "WERTY" keyboard. You can see the design is the same for all Chicagos as it is exactly repeated in the advertisement from the Weekly Rogue Courier, published in Oregon on on June 18, 1903. It is interesting to note that "Chicago Typewriter" is also a TV series in South Korea, and another name for the "Tommy" gun.
