Hammond

This model is the first of the Hammond line; this particular typewriter was produced 2 years after the first models were released by the original factory, built in 1880. The elegant design and solid wooden body and keys make this machine a beautiful addition to our collection, and one of our most prized typewriters. The middle picture to your left is that of the duel mentioned in the brand page from the St. Alban's Daily Messenger, published 06 December 1889.
