Underwood

In the 1950s, it seems that Underwood was trying to market several models all based on the same design. They had a universal and a deluxe model of the quiet tab and the golden touch. You can see the in the ad to the left, taken from The Orlando Sentinel on Deember 2, 1957, that there are only subtle differences between the various models. For example, it appears that one of the main differences between our DeLuxe and a Universal Golden Touch model is the back paper holder bar.
