Virotyp

Famously known for being able to use these small, lighweight typewriters in the trenches of WWI, and even on horseback, this little machine was easy to learn and is a strange sight to behold. The reason for being able to use this is such conditions was that it could be manipulated with one hand. Using the pinky finger, one could hold the machine, and then use their thumb and finger to rotate the dial for each letter. Then, when ready, could press down with the thumb to print the letter. That machine was the pocket version. Two other versions were also made, which you will find on this website.
